Upcoming DUBSTEP & BASS in NYC

House, Techno, & Electronic in NYC

Originally starting life as a trio, North London outfit **Ivy Lab** were brought together out of a shared enthusiasm for experimentations on the fringes of the UK bass music scene. The years that followed saw them go from strength to strength, earning a place in ‘The top 10 DJ’s of 2015’ (Mixmag) and propagating a new generation of hip-hop inspired abstractions housed within the framework of their ’20/20 LDN’ project.

The duo now find themselves at the apex of the ‘Halftime’ / ‘Future Beats’ / movement – A motley assortment of actors from across the bass music landscape applying their sonic-heritage to experiments with hip-hop and drum machine electronica.

Ivy Lab invested further in the exploration of this sound with the creation of their ‘20/20 LDN’ clubnight. Housed primarily at Brixton’s Phonox nightclub, it earned the characterisation of “ultra innovative” (Timeout Magazine) and a “London standout” (Mixmag).

Minted in late 2015, and borrowing the same raison d’être as its elder sibling nightlife brand; 20/20 LDN Recordings was unveiled with the pseudo-mixtape/compilation LP “Ivy Lab presents 20/20 Volume.1” – described as “uncompromising, insightful and rather awesome : 9/10” (Mixmag) and “impossible to categorise : 9/10” (DJ Mag) . Little over a year (and only 5 releases deep) the label was awarded the title of ’Best Breakthrough Label 2016’ in the DJ Mag ‘Best of British Awards 2016’.

Now a galvanising presence in the ‘Future Beats’ movement, Ivy Lab’s’ “20/20 Volume.1” release and the subsequent follow up E.P’s were benchmark moments in forging the genre into a pillar of the electronic music landscape. Tracks such as “Spooky Dub”, “Can’t Say No” & “Peninsula” all garnered incredible currency, supplemented by showpiece remixes for Banks (“Fuck with myself”) and Noisia (“Tentacles”).

That same currency as bass music figureheads has been embraced by festivals as varied as Glastonbury, EDC Vegas, SXSW, Sonar (Barcleona + HK), CTM Berlin, Dour, ADE, Woo Hah!, Shambhala, Lightning In A Bottle, Lowlands, Origin NYE, Exit & Outlook.

Ivy Lab head into the horizon not only with an anchored presence at the cutting edge of the bass-music landscape, but also a secured reputation as pioneering label bosses & event promoters in ownership of one of the UK’s most exciting contemporary music brands.

Loofy, a rising U.S.-based DJ, is making serious noise in the global electronic scene with his standout release on NYC’s legendary Nervous Records. Backed by industry giants like Tale of Us, Tiesto, and Dom Dolla, Loofy is earning a reputation for emotionally rich, genre-blending sets rooted in deep house, techno, and R&B. With musical origins in Chicago and Florida and a creative awakening in the UK, his dynamic style resonates across borders. Now touring Europe and pushing his Luv & Lust label, Loofy is bringing underground U.S. club energy to international stages.

Low key, to the point, and a world away from the mad hype around recent club bomb ‘Last Night’. Released on iconic NYC imprint Nervous Records, the track has won support from some of the biggest names in the industry, including Tale of Us, Mau P, Malaa, Tiesto, Oscar G, John Summit, Dom Dolla, and many more. The boy seems unphased, more intent on the music than the praise, an attitude that caught the interest of Nervous Records as they prepare for the next phase in his career.

Growing up around Chicago saw him naturally influenced by hip-hop and r&b, before a move to Florida exposed him to other genres which influenced his life. His move to the UK is when the luv of electronic music began. A period that would entirely change his career trajectory.

His Luv & Lust label, with its signature red and black livery, is now home to a growing discography that showcases a more intimate and sensual sound. Ignoring trends by remaining true to his sound, he becomes a growing desire on the club circuit.

BUSH DÜF makes a triumphant return to our favorite Danley sound system with a venerable lineup of local DJs. Featuring a mix of first-timers at SILO and previous party presiders in a much-anticipated big-room b2b, expect another astounding night of cosmic, colorful and cathartic techno till the fog and floor must clear.

SUPER WAV treats us to a techno-tilted opener as our first SILO debut. A music-lover in every regard, he wields a wide-ranging palette spanning psychedelic house, jackin’ acid and many genres defying easy categorization. Evoking the universal in even the most esoteric sounds, his thoughtful curation scouts selections and selectors alike as the organizer of ripple worldwide, a downtempo mix series, and synchroNYCity, a recently-established party built around revisitations of timeless records.

EMMALINE then takes us to midnight and beyond with her propensity for expressive propulsion. The driving force behind Bossa-based BUCKLE UP BABY is more than just a hostess of high-energy rhythms, but a consistently-mesmerizing mixer of dense layers and direct emotion, seamlessly navigating improvisation and authorship. Her acoustic acumen is not to be missed on a sound system like SILO’s, which is why we’re thrilled she could join our party for the first time in what is also her venue debut.

Ben Zo and STEEN are back with their biggest b2b yet. Each attuned to the nuances to the stadium-sized sound system at-hand, their respective experiences as DÜF director and Open Decks ombudsman promise unique uplift in this space familiar to both. Reprising their b2b after a few months instead of a few years like before, their symbiosis as selectors dates back half a decade (to when they first met at STEEN's open decks) and today finds its broadest canvass yet with six decks between them and several points of sound around them.

Dio García returns to the DÜF after a few years away with his unrestrained range and freewheeling finesse. With roots in Miami and branches touching upon many of Brooklyn's seminal parties, the Acid Mama co-organizer and Xanadu production manager is a dependably heady architect of groovy and glistening set construction spanning animated acid, blistering bass, dubby and deep house, quintessentially Detroit techno and more. We're eager to have him as the final venue debutant, and in the main room, no less.

**KNOW GOOD** is the product of two kindred spirits bound by both blood and bass. Cousins Tanner and Sylas Morgan are the latest in a family legacy of musicians, crafting a genre-defying sound that’s as dark and dynamic as it is unexpected. Their music pulses with low frequencies woven through pop, rock, and rap elements.

Both veterans in their own right, Sylas has spent the past decade DJing nightclubs and bars across the U.S., known for his taste in sample selection and sharp verses, while Tanner brings versatility as a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, mastering over ten instruments.

Since joining forces in 2020, KNOW GOOD has created a fresh sound that’s quickly gaining traction. Their live performances blend the intensity of a DJ set with the richness of live instrumentation, incorporating drums, guitar, violin, and vocals. Alix Perez (Belgium/UK) and Eprom (USA) are **SHADES**.

Perez found his rise to fame in drum n bass, releasing on Shogun Audio, Exit Recordings amongst many other labels and collaborating with the foremost names in dance and electronic music such as Noisia, Foreign Beggars, dBridge, and many more.

Eprom gained his well-deserved success through his innovative take on bass music, a unique sound that has the likes of Gaslamp Killer, Kutmah, D-Styles singing his praises and supporting his music.

SHADES exemplifies slanted grooves, a deep pocket and hard yet graceful composition. The debut self-titled EP (released on Alpha Pup) is a truly unique body of work.

Aware of each other’s music for some time before meeting, Perez and Eprom first crossed paths at the 2013/2014 Northern Bass festival in New Zealand. The following summer they met again at the Red Bull Studios LA producing the Foreign Beggars’ Modus EP. This initial studio session led to further collaborations and SHADES was born.

XLR8R have rightly said “music that’s not only a legitimate full-frontal assault in the same vein as tunes from that golden era of gluttonous bass and synths, but that embraces that ethos while giving it a more polished feel”.

Xenia (UA) - Madness

Once again the debaucherous spirit of **SILOWEEN** descends upon the Scott Ave. rave cul-de-sac. This Saturday night edition features darker, harder, driving techno from Xenia, Firebunny, and Steen.

There's a midnight costume contest with champagne prize, so be sure to arrive early.

**Xenia**
Born in the serene confines of a quiet Ukrainian village, Xenia's love for music started in her early years which led her path as a DJ with a residency at the famous Heaven Club in Kyiv. She first got into making and mixing music that complimented acid sounds with a classic techno feel. As she kept at it, her music began to hit harder, slowly turning into a darker kind of hard techno that gets a crowd moving. This shift in style led to her starting her own label in 2024 “Fire Mode” where she's all about pushing the boundaries of hard industrial techno, shifting out from a more comercial side of this sound that we may see consistently. Showcasing her own productions, as well as upcoming and established artists, the goal is for the music to stand out on itself.

For years now, Xenia has been known far and wide as an international touring DJ. From Australia to Brazil, Europe to South Africa, Thailand to South America, we can see her in some of the biggest festivals of 2024, like closing the Dreambeach Festival main stage, Verknipt, Ikarus, Echelon, Sunice (to name a few), as well as hitting up some of the best clubs in the world, such as, Fabrik, Gotec, E1, Gate 13, Nordstern, Input, Bolgia, etc… bringing her unique sound to fans everywhere.

Few artists have managed to cultivate name and brand recognition quite like Belgium native, bass music icon, Michael Bella. His cutting edge, high-energy basslines, and masterwork song structures stimulate the senses, complimented by 100% original artwork that ties his unmistakable branding together under his DJ & Producer alias, Eptic.

At an early age Eptic found not only a love for Rock & Metal, but Drum & Bass – the inspiration behind him wanting to learn and produce himself at a mere fourteen years old. Laying the creative fundamentals down at such a young age has paved the way for the now well-known international bass enthusiast, gaining the respect and attention from, and ultimately collaborating with, many well known artists such as DJ Snake, Marshmello, Dillon Francis, Jauz, Juicy J, among others.

Equally known for both his music, off-stage comedy skits, and social media personality, Eptic has secured acclaim far outreaching the bass music community proving there’s no boundaries for the Eptic moniker. With the debut of his fabled “Overlord Stage” at the end of 2021, Bella gave us a thrilling glimpse of what’s in store for 2022.

Colossal energy-packed buildups broken by blistering distorted kicks and synths has helped him establish a fanbase of A-list artists such as Nico Moreno, Amelie Lens, Kobosil & 999999999.

As G-House powers forward at a menacing pace, BIJOU is the name on everyone’s lips. Instead of setting the bar for the genre, he only raises it higher. Rather than embracing the standard, he constantly pushes the envelope further with a distinct, robust soundscape all his own.

BIJOU’s show-stopping 2016 collaboration with Dr. Fresch, “Hello” marked a major turning point for his career in music and Future Ghetto as a whole. In the same week, his debut on Night Bass thrust BIJOU to the forefront of the G-House movement and he has never looked back.

His records continue to catch fire, gaining massive support from AC Slater, Destructo, Don Diablo, Drezo, Malaa, Party Favor and many more. BIJOU fed the blaze with a series of ambitious releases including “Gotta Shine” featuring Germ, “Revelation” with Dr. Fresch featuring Denzel Curry, and “Louis V” with modern legend and Night Bass champion AC Slater. BIJOU topped off 2018 with his stellar 4-track Super Phat EP, an instant staple in the modern dance scene. Flash-forward to 2019 and his Gangsta Party EP with Dr. Fresch (DND Records) has primed the producer for yet another successful year.

Infusing elements of hip hop and classic house, BIJOU’s sound is live enough for the underground, but mean enough to hold down any main stage. Fans at EDC Vegas in 2017 witnessed this firsthand as he took over kineticFIELD in full form. He followed up in 2018 with a thrilling Australian run and his first headlining U.S. Super Phat Tour. Having gained all the street cred he needs, BIJOU is now looking worldwide.

Keep your eyes and ears locked on BIJOU — fearless leader, G-House supreme — because he’s about to take over!

Fatum, Genix, Jaytech & Judah - All In

Oliver Smith has been described as "an excellent DJ" by Armin van Buuren, "the best thing to happen in trance" by Mixmag and "sensational" by DJ Magazine. In recent years the popular UK-based DJ and dance music producer has released scores of records and performed at some of the biggest clubs and festivals in the world.

Oliver’s forward thinking music is regularly played by leading DJs such as Above & Beyond, Hardwell, David Guetta, Ferry Corsten and Sander van Doorn. He was the first signing to the Anjunabeats record label and is the only producer (other than label bosses Above & Beyond) to have featured on all 13 ‘Anjunabeats Volume’ compilations to date. Oliver has also been highly successful with remixes for the likes of Arty, Mat Zo, Seven Lions, and Maor Levi - all featuring on leading radio and club play lists and flying high in the Spotify and Beatport charts. In 2018 he mixed the ‘Anjunabeats Worldwide 08’ compilation, which includes ten of his own productions. It reached the #1 spot on the iTunes dance chart in USA, UK, Canada, Australia and more.

As a DJ, Oliver has played at legendary UK venues such as Ministry of Sound, The Warehouse Project and Wembley Arena; and at far flung locations worldwide including America, India, and Ibiza. He has also performed at some of the biggest festivals in the world such as Tomorrowland, EDC Las Vegas, and Creamfields. He is also a regular presenter of Anjunabeats Worldwide Radio, which is broadcast on over 100 FM stations across the planet.

\--

Genix has deep roots in dance music that have helped his production career to grow exponentially since his debut release in 2003. Since then he has become a mainstay of

Anjunabeats, with other releases on Armada, Vandit Records, Enhanced Records and Spinnin Records to name a few. DJing alongside the world’s elite along the way, he has become a huge name in his own right.

A very successful 2024 saw Genix release his second artist album titled YOU.ME.NOW, a stellar follow up to his debut album ‘199X’ which both led to successful global tour dates around the world from Asia, Australia, Europe & USA. The pick of album tracks were played on BBC radio 1 where Genix went on to host his own show as part of an Anjunabeats takeover.

His formidable sound blends the most vibrant elements of trance, techno, house and progressive into a potent, high octane cocktail. With a penchant for in-your-face textures and sounds set against stunning melody and beautiful atmospherics, his sound is at the vanguard of the trance movement. Blending reverence for the formative sounds of a 1990s dance music upbringing with the sounds of now, his tracks are consistently among the most spinetingling in the scene. With no compromise in his style across his 200+ released singles and remixes, he is an artist who is truly dedicated to his scene. Collaborating with and remixing the likes of Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Gabriel & Dresden and Cosmic Gate, he has become part of the fabric of the scene.

He first found fame as a resident and promoter at legendary UK club night Passion, which was one of the epicentres of the ‘90s/2000s trance explosion. Cutting his name alongside the scene’s biggest DJs, he amassed a wealth of knowledge and experience that would give him solid foundations for the rest of his career. By the time he turned his hand to production in the early 2000s, he had a keen understanding of what worked on a dancefloor, giving him a huge head start. It quickly became clear that he was as talented in the studio as behind the decks, and it wasn’t long before he was attracting major attention.

At one point he held the Guinness World Record for the longest DJ set in history, clocking in at 84 hours. He also recently broke the world record for playing a DJ set at the highest recorded land altitude, playing at Mount Everest Base Camp at 5,600 metres above sea level. He has supported Above & Beyond at epic shows across the world including at the New York Expo Centre, The Gorge Amphitheater in Washington and the O2 Arena Prague and laid waste to some of the world’s biggest dance festivals including Tomorrowland, Creamfields, Dreamstate and A State of Trance.

HEYZ is an American record producer and DJ from Greensboro, North Carolina. At an early age he displayed a love for music and natural ability to play instruments without any formal training. Although his adolescence and teenage years saw music as his primary interest, he didn’t start seriously writing music until his mid 20s. After picking up a copy of Logic Pro X, his talent for production progressed quickly. Within months, deadmau5's widely acclaimed imprint, mau5trap, took notice of his sound. After signing with mau5trap and releasing 2 successful singles, HEYZ released his debut EP, ‘Schedule 1’, in February 2018. Late 2018-early 2019 saw HEYZ reimagine his Techno sound into a heavy, grittier form of bass music with an emphasis on strong vocals and songwriting. The culmination of this work coalesced into his ‘Human 404’ EP which released on Jauz’s imprint ‘Bite This!’ in August 2019. 'Human 404' received wide acclaim with support from Marshmello, Zeds Dead, Liquid Stranger, Ghastly, Ookay, UKF Dubstep, and features in Spotify's 'Friday Cratediggers' and 'Bass Arcade' as well as Apple Music's 'Breaking Dance' and 'Global Dance' playlists. HEYZ kicked off 2020 with an official remix for Flux Pavilion on Circus Records which reached over 100,000 Spotify plays in 3 days and a remix for Breathe Carolina on Spinnin’ Records. HEYZ’s first original recording of the year released June 19th on Zeds Dead’s record label, Deadbeats.
